In Chartwell retirement communities across Canada, we offer a selection of accommodation and suite types to suit every lifestyle. Considerations like how much daily support you require, to what extent you wish to cook, or even how large you’d like your new accommodations to be—perhaps because you’re moving in with a spouse—will all factor into what choice will most benefit you.
Retirement Residence Suite
Our most popular accommodation choice is a suite in one of our retirement communities. Suites can come in a diverse selection of layouts and sizes—including studio, one-bedroom, one-plus-den and two-bedroom suites—and the majority are fully equipped with a kitchenette and various appliance packages.
Apartment
Like suites, our apartments come in a wide range of sizes and layouts; however, what makes them different is that they feature full kitchens. Chartwell apartments can be located in retirement communities or in separate seniors’ apartment buildings on the premises.
Townhome
Some of our retirement communities offer seniors’ townhomes on the premises, usually adjacent to the main building. Our townhomes typically feature two bedrooms, full kitchen, in-suite laundry and private driveways and garages.
Cottage/Bungalow
A few of our retirement residences offer independent cottages or bungalows adjacent to the main building. Typically, our cottages and bungalows feature two spacious bedrooms, a full kitchen, in-suite laundry and outdoor parking.
