Recently, my mother had to relocate to assisted living, on fairly short notice. Kelly Anne moved heaven and earth to make that happen for us. The entire Meadowbrook team is compassionate and responsive. The nurse, Lyndsey, helped us to navigate various issues, and the maintenance team, headed by Mark, made sure that the suite was in top shape. What can we say? The new suites are brilliant; the warmth and friendliness all around tell the residents that they are home. Good show!

I would like to give thanks to Kelly Anne for facilitating my father's move to Meadowbrook last fall. She was kind and efficient and able to answer all of our questions. I would also like to give thanks to all the staff who know my dad by name and make him feel like a VIP. Thanks also to the nursing staff who have always been available to answer my questions and provide support. I also have to mention the reception staff who are always ready with a smile, are great. I am happy to know that my father is safe at Meadowbrook!

I have loved living in my Meadowbrook Apartment for 10 years now. The Staff are friendly & helpful with Tenant concerns. Tenants are able to participate in daily activities if they choose to. I love the central location & walking distance to groceries, banking, restaurants, etc.. I am free from worrying about lawn care & snow removal!

The Staff truly show empathy for the residents and their families. They understand the needs of seniors, as well as the needs of families. Food Service, accommodations, grounds, activities sure have exceeded our expectations. Elizabeth, Kelly Ann and Staff were always available to assist us all ....... Thank you for your love & dedication .......

I would like to say that I am very pleased to have my mother residing at Meadowbrook in Lively. The staff couldn't be nicer and ready to please her at any time. My mother is soon to be 90 years old and she is an avid walker and loves to exercise, something which Meadowbrook offers her. She enjoys the meals and the companionship of others at the retirement home and how well she is treated by staff there.

A number of years ago, my Mum fell and broke her hip and was unable to return to her apartment living. We were very fortunate to be able to get a room in Meadowbrook when she was released from hospital. Mum was not initially thrilled about moving into Meadowbrook, but her hesitation quickly changed to enthusiasm. She no longer had to prepare her own meals, and the Meadowbrook food is quite good. There are lots of activities (managers games, exercise, bingo, Trivia games, card games, etc) to keep the residents busy, when Covid allows. The accommodations are very good, even though Mum is hardly even in her room because she's out socializing. Staff is truly excellent, very caring and attentive. There is a lovely fireplace which residents gather at to watch TV, talk, and nap. All in all, Meadowbrook is highly recommended.

My mother has been living at Meadowbrook since 2019. She initially was living in the independant living apartments and really enjoyed her space and the social life she shared with the other residents on her floor. Prior to Covid the residents would congregate every evening for tea and and a chat as well as going for walks. Since October 2021 my mother has been living in the assisted living one bedroom unit which is beautiful and very spacious . She is very happy there and loves the weekly housekeeping and lives the meals that are served in the dining room. She is looking forward to the time when she can resume walking and socializing without having to wear masks. The facility has so much to offer and their social spaces are numerous from the cafe to lounges to a cinema room , hairdresser , library and billiard room. The outside spaces have nice pathways that allow residents to walk outside in the warmer months as a individual garden spaces for residents who enjoy gardening. Elizabeth has always been very helpful anytime we required any health services addressed. Thanks again to all the staff at Meadowbrook !

I want to thank the Chartwell Meadowbrook for offering safe, nurturing, inclusive environment to which I transitioned a client that I am working with too. Kelly Ann and Elizabeth were a great wealth of information and support for this transition and my client is very happy with what he has available to him. From the meals, bistrow, to the activities and assistance with housekeeping, it fits perfectly for his needs. It constantly amazes me how the staff at Meadowbrook go above and beyond for their residents. I work for the physician that cares for a minority of patients there and the level of care and compassion from the staff is outstanding. They are always willing to go above and beyond to provide exceptional care.

I have been working as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) at Meadowbrook for 12 years. Throughout those 12 years, I can honestly say that the staff and management have always been phenomenal, very friendly and welcoming. Even with the difficult circumstances that Covid-19 has brought upon us, the staff and management has continuously maintained a safe environment for their residents. I am fortunate to work alongside the Meadowbrook team.

I have worked in many facilities over the past 20 plus years and I must say that the management and staff go above and beyond to make me feel welcomed everyday. This is my second time working at Meadowbrook for their renovations and I can't say enough about their hospitality, their friendliness, cleanliness and overall happiness of the home.

Can't say as I'm overwhelmed with this facility. The maintenance staff are unfriendly and even rude. They also don't seek to resolve issues quickly. The Activities Coordinator is unfriendly and unreliable, cancelling scheduled events without notice and no apology so everybody just stands around waiting for nothing. The independent living sides don't have access to computers, games room, library, etc. It's clean, I'll give it that, with no homey feel as everything is bare. It's sloppily run. A lonely overpriced sad existence.

Our mother lived at Meadowbrook assisted living for three years. It is a wonderful facility. You are greeted by friendly staff who show how much they care about the residents. The dining room is bright and inviting. The food is tasty and with great variety. The atmosphere is wonderful and the activities in good number. We were thankful for the great care our mother received.

From the first day we thought Chartwell's would be a good place for our mom. The staff really tell the story. They truly understand the needs of that age group and the needs of family as well. Food, service, accommodations, grounds, activities have all exceeded expectations. But the care and understanding is #1. We are so fortunate to have been included in this family!
