我们的母亲(祖母，曾祖母)10月份搬到了查特韦尔·韦斯科特。在过去的18个月里，由于新冠肺炎，她被隔离在自己家中，与家人和朋友的互动非常有限。不到两周，她就恢复了原来的样子，现在5个月后，她开始与人交往，一起吃午餐和晚餐，玩宾果游戏和纸牌游戏，享受活动提供的娱乐活动。她还使用了一些提供的服务，比如理发师(做得非常好)，每周都在现场的医生，她甚至还使用了司机服务。我们对威斯科特的管理层和员工说得再好也不为过，是他们让她顺利过渡。在她遇到人之前，他们确保她有吃饭的伙伴，他们打电话给她，确保她会来吃饭，并让她知道日常活动。他们也让家里的每个人(我们有很多人)都感到受欢迎，因为我们来考察她的新家。韦斯科特的居民们非常热情，他们走过来自我介绍，邀请她和他们一起吃饭，提醒她每天的活动并鼓励她参加，非常感谢。鼓励她搬到一个我们知道她会安全的地方是一个漫长的过程，但她现在是“家”，并告诉每个人她很快乐，这是一个生活的好地方。

My oldest daughter, Samantha, who is 16 and now drives, can drive over to visit or pick up her grandma, and my younger daughter, Deilia , who is 13 loves visiting in the outdoor courtyard with her grandmother. I highly recommend Chartwell Westcott as a future home for many!

2018年12月，我开始为我的叔叔塞普和婶婶露丝寻找退休住宅。他们都在舍伍德公园的同一栋房子里住了45年多，有“楼梯”。他们俩都开始爬楼梯有困难了。2019年1月，我们去参观了查特韦尔Hawthorn，因为这个住所就在我住的西埃德蒙顿的街对面。我们看了一间两居室，然后爱上了一间空着的套房。2019年2月，我的露丝阿姨出人意料地去世了。我打电话给我们在Hawthorn的销售小姐，告诉她这个不幸的消息，我们不再需要两居室了。他们没有一间卧室/书房可用。她告诉我们韦斯科特的盛大开业，还帮我们打了电话。那天我们去旅游了，我们也去了。 We fell in love with the suite (1 bedroom + den) and put a deposit on the unit. My uncle was the 4th or 5th person to move in. Louis was instrumental in making the move in very smooth for my uncle understating the devastation that he was going through with losing his wife so suddenly. He moved in March 2019 and he along with the family absolutely love Westcott. He is treated very well, has made friends, and is feeling very comfortable in his new home. I personally would like to thank everyone involved in keeping him active and watching over not only him, but all the residents. I furnished her suite with all new furniture and limited clothing. I then took her to Chartwell Wescott on the premise of a doctor's appointment. She was very upset when I got her into the Memory Living Neighbourhood and told her that this was her new home. There were lots of tears and angry words. After 2-3 hours of trying to calm her the staff recommended I leave. I gave her a kiss and left saying I would be back. The Memory Living Manager, Marie at the time told me she would let me know when I could come and visit my Mom; but would most likely be a week or so. Marie phoned me later that day to reassure me that my Mom was ok. The next few days she continued to keep me informed as to how my Mom was doing. After 6 days Marie phoned and told me I could go to visit her the next day. When I arrived I was on pins and needles not knowing what I was going to walk into. My Mom met me at the door of the neighbourhood with a smile and a hug. She was eager to show me around and even asked if I wanted to see her room. To this day she calls Chartwell Wescott her "home"!! Although her Dementia as progressed she still knows that people care about her there and that she is safe. My family is for ever thankful to the staff of Chartwell Wescott for giving us the piece of mind to go about our daily lives and go and visit her and find her healthy and happy. They have also kept the entire facility safe and healthy during the crazy time of COVID 19.
